Bringing ‘city living’ to Birmingham.
The project: It is hard to imagine that next to no private dwellings existed in Birmingham City centre as recently as the arrival of the new century and The Sandpiper Group was at the forefront of bringing about the change that was much needed.
However, given Sandpiper’s skill at regeneration and refurbishment and an eye to sustainability, before it became such an essential part of planning today, it was disused buildings such as this that caught the imagination of those keen to discover the new phenomenon that was ‘city living’. As many new build developments have continued to change the skyline of the second city, these original and pioneering conversions continue to be much sought after.
