With third party interests that would have most developers running for the hills, Sandpiper speculatively purchased this ‘problem building’ and managed to bring together British Telecom, Birmingham City Council, Aston University and Unite.
The result was a groundbreaking development of the site to accommodate 581 students – still the biggest student development ever done in Birmingham.
